There are some relationships that play a major part in shaping your life. This song (with lyrics by Noor) is about such a relationship that lasted fifteen years but saw the parties involved changing, developing and growing apart in views and direction, to the point where there was still mutual respect but no common ground.

The Great Divide developed from a series of ideas arranged by Becky, with Noor writing the lyrics, as the song matured via a spot of good old fashioned jamming.
