This is a wonderful co-write, marrying Gazza’s minor/major Blues twists with Noor’s acidic lyrics. The song is about the pain and downsides of running your own race, working hard to be creative through blending genres and styles, yet being overlooked or even cast aside through refusing to be pigeonholed. It is not a bitter tale, but one of pride and defiance. After all, you were born an original, so don’t become a copy.
